Its a common misconception that you would need underlay for vinyl flooring. When it comes to vinyl floors or underlay for vinyl click flooring this is not required.
If you are using a click-lock vinyl floor and your subfloor is made of concrete an Underlay may be necessary. Still installations over wood or existing subfloors will benefit from the additional sound cushioning. However does vinyl flooring require underlay.
